A massive sinkhole spanning 45 feet in diameter opened up at a fertilizer facility in Florida, and has already leaked 215 million gallons of radioactive water into the state's aquifer system.

The South Florida Water Management District and Cape Coral say the water shortage in North Cape is 'very serious' and expect a drier than normal dry season. SFWMD issued the shortage in November 2023.
