I find it very satisfying to make  homemade jams and condiments like marmalade, chutney, aioli, and now mayonnaise.
To make mayonnaise, you will need the following ingredients: egg yolk, mustard, vinegar or lemon juice, salt, and regular oil. In a clean bowl, add the egg yolk and mustard, and whisk them together.
Without mayo, there would be no deviled eggs, club sandwiches or classic potato salad anymore. But really good mayonnaise can't be bought in a jar at the grocery store; it's made from scratch at home.
