Several state governors have ordered flags to be flown at full-staff on Inauguration Day, raising flags before the end of the mourning period for Jimmy Carter.
The U.S. State Department reportedly adopted a new policy under the Trump administration that blocks U.S. embassies and outposts from flying Pride and Black Lives Matter flags.
“The flags will be lowered back to half-staff ... an incoming President and the bright future ahead for the United States of America,” Abbott said in a news release on Monday.
