HighSchoolOT has released its preseason girls basketball rankings for the 252 area code. HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina's six area codes.

The fourth annual 252 vs. 919 Showcase Bowl was played on Saturday at John Paul II Catholic High School in Greenville. The bowl features seniors from the eastern North Carolina area codes.
