Apple has been asked by the Indonesian government to block the Chinese retailer Temu from the App Store, to try and protect small businesses in the country.

Four employees of Taiwan’s Foxconn, the world’s largest iPhone assembler, have been detained in China under “quite strange” circumstances, Taiwan’s government said.

Four Taiwanese employees at Chinese facilities that make products for Apple have been detained by local authorities.

Taiwan’s government said that they had been accused of a breach of trust, but that their employer, Foxconn, had denied the company suffered any losses.
