2024年4月19日 · Thank you tas6691. The first time I handled a Les Baer was while I was in the Army and stationed in Hawaii back around 1996-1997. I was amazed at the fit and finish. I handled one again around 2009 - 2010 and thought the same - a well made, smooth, tight, pistol. I wish I would have bought one 20 years ago!

2024年11月21日 · My first les baer, my first "nice" 1911. I hoped this thing would run. I was not disapointed! It didn't stop running untill I ran out of ammo. A typical rainy WA day and 1,120 rounds later, I'm extremely happy with it. The gun was pretty tight out the box. It came with 2 tripp cobra 10rd mags and the 2nd worst sights ive used (glock is #1).

2025年2月4日 · I'm looking online at a used Les Baer Thunder Ranch that has quite a bit of wear on the finish which i understand is normal for Les Baer blued pistol. I think I could get this one for $1700-$1900. I've also called Baer and they will refinish for $380.

2022年2月7日 · My personal opinion having owned both. Les Baer cuts a lot of corners in his builds. So if aesthetics are big to you get a WC. Also Les Baer's sight options are crap too. All that said, Baer builds a very accurate gun. Wilson is a better gun in just about every facet. However your looking at buying one of those new hybrid 1911 offerings they offer.

2023年5月21日 · The first Baer guns after Les left SACS in 1992 were built on Caspian frames and slides. The frames were marked Caspian, the slides were marked Les Baer Custom. The first "Les Baer" marked forged frames came in 1994.

2024年12月8日 · I sent my les baer UTC to my gunsmith with the new sights. He said as usual on a baer it required a fair bit of filing to fit the front sight. After the factory pin was drilled insert choice words. The rear went in just fine. Along with the sights, my thumb safety was scratching the frame, a stone took care of that quick.

2016年12月13日 · Les does not drill the roll pin hole all the way through the slide like some other makers do, so that slightly complicates the swap since you need to drill the old roll pin out. I know what height I need (.200) to make the correction that I want. Since Les does not offer a "Les Baer .200 replacement front sight", I can't just order that from him.
