David Smith (27 November 1962 – 18 May 2002) was an English professional wrestler best known for his appearances in the United States with the World Wrestling Federation under the ring names Davey Boy Smith and The British Bulldog.

2020年7月20日 · Tragically, The British Bulldog passed away at the age of 39 after past issues concerning his body seemingly caught up to him, causing a massive heart attack. He was set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at WrestleMania weekend this year but that ceremony was obviously postponed.

The British Bulldogs were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of cousins Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid. They competed throughout the 1980s in Britain, North America and Japan and have consistently ranked among the top tag teams in history. [ 1 ]

The British Bulldog passed away on May 18, 2002, but his legacy lives on today in WWE video games and on WWE Network, and he was recognized for his contributions to the industry in 2020 with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Davey left WWF later in the fall of 1992, joining WCW for a brief but successful run in helping them gain a foothold on the European wrestling scene that was dominated by the WWF at that time.
