We went by road from Gangtok in private taxi. Border Road Organisation ( BRO) done a great job maintaining the road even at the altitude of over 12000 ft. Road wasn't busy, and there were horse shoe bends one after other climbing and going downhill for 25km. It takes almost 2 hrs from Gangtok with a tea / coffee stop.
