2023年4月3日 · System has INTEL SSDPEKNW512G8H NVMe M.s SSD. Tried to upgrade with Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, but system will not boot from that drive, even though Crucial tells me the upgrade is compatible with the system. Board: HP 86AB 95.36 Any thoughts?

2018年7月8日 · I'm going to by an HP Pavilion 15-cc598na and I want to remove the HDD and install an M.2 SSD. I'm pretty sure I'm able to do this; I know it's possible on lots of the other Pavilion 15 models, and on page 43 of the Pavilion maintenance and service guide it implies that all pavilion 15 models can take a 2280 M.2 SATA-3 SSD.

2020年1月6日 · It is not as difficult as it may seem to do the upgrade. The best way that I have found is, leave the hard drive disk (HDD) installed as it came from the factory. Install cloning software on it. Connect the SSD to another SATA port on the motherboard or M.2 socket. Run the cloning software. It will ask for the Target Drive and that will be the SSD.

2025年1月20日 · The Manuals are no longer posted by HP but I recall this model also has an M.2 SATA port on the backside of the motherboard, but it would not perform any better than the 2.5 inch SATA in the hard drive slot and removing the motherboard is quite a bit more work. .

2018年11月28日 · Thank you very much. I purchased a Samsung 860 EVO SSD and it is up and running. I purchased an Insignia SATA cable and SSD mount at the same time. Had to use the cable but the drive bay has a place right above the HDD that you can mount the SSD drive. Two drive bay screw holes line up perfectly at each corner of the SSD.
