I don't know about reusing it, but it is cheap and easy to knock down and clean up. 1 part regular old lime (we call it chit-house lime) to 3 parts sand. It works close to "real"mortar and tools the same, and can be removed for a couple of days or weeks after being laid.

2017年7月28日 · High lift grout is sometimes consolidated. Low lift should not need it, and if it does, the grout is too tight. Tooled joints are not in the code, but are best practice. However, there are too many possibilities for how the joints should be finished for it to be covered in code, kind of like how mortar itself is specified.

2021年10月26日 · Use a grout bag. Use type s mortar or Portland cement and sand 2 to 1 mix. The mix should be rich enough to slide through the bag easily. Don't make it too wet or loose. If it's rich it'll flow easily. Wait until joints begin to stiffen up then strike them. Wait again until joints stiffen up further, then use a blower to blow them off the stone.
