Seoul Korea Temple Will Reopen 21 February 2022 to Phase 3. The Seoul Korea Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been reopening in a cautious, careful way, based on local circumstances.

The prayers of Korean Saints were answered the following year when construction of a temple in Seoul was announced. In December 1985 the Seoul Korea Temple was dedicated. The Saints of Korea have consistently served each other and their neighbors.

Plans to construct the temple were announced 1 April 1981, Church leaders broke ground 9 May 1983, and President Gordon B. Hinckley, then a counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicated the Seoul Korea Temple 14 December 1985.

The Seoul Korea Temple was dedicated in 1985. When the 1988 Olympic Games were held in Korea, the Brigham Young University Folk Dancers performed at the opening ceremonies, viewed by an estimated audience of 1 billion people worldwide. Here are a few facts about the Church today in South Korea:

In 1980, at the dedication of the Tokyo Japan Temple, Han In Sang, an early Korean convert, offered a prayer for a temple to be built in Korea. The prayers of Korean Saints were answered the following year when construction of a temple in Seoul was announced.

On December 14, 1985, President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910–2008), then the First Counselor in the First Presidency, dedicated the Seoul Korea Temple. This temple was especially meaningful for President Hinckley, who had a special bond with the Korean Saints.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in Korea joyfully received news of a new temple for Korea as President Russell M. Nelson announced the list of new temples at the conclusion of the Sunday Afternoon Session of General conference on October 2nd, 2022.

2021年11月17日 · Reservations can now be scheduled online for the Seoul Korea Temple, for proxy baptisms up to 10 patrons. Anyone who comes without a reservation, or a current temple recommend, will not be allowed to enter the temple.
