The battery has gone bad and I need to know what it costs to send the unit to Microsoft to replace the battery. I would also like to know what the time frame would be from the time I send the Surface to you to the time I get it back.

2024年8月20日 · One of our staff uses a Surface Pro 7. The device is like a mini furnace. It gets hot very quickly and verges on being too hot to touch, and it is not even working hard. I was carrying out basic maintenance on it: Windows updates and sfc, and the heat was incredible. I have downloaded the Surface Pro diagnostic tool, and it says it is healthy.

2022年2月20日 · My wife has been having this exact issue with her Surface Pro 7 lately. She claims it was after a Windows 11 update but I can't confirm that. Anyway, I go into the device manager, delete the Intel touchpad driver and restart. This corrects the problem until the next time she closes the keyboard and puts the Surface on the charger.
