Go into the Facebook ddl vector group, scroll through the updates on the server there. They are dated as far back as 6 months ago when the server first went down. So these updates suggest ddl is moving from Amazon to Microsoft azure and it hasn’t happened in 6 months. Look into an option called wirepod.

2020年10月21日 · Vector's chargers aren't 'linked' to him, and although he can find them and remember where they are, they can't be used as a reference point because if he gets tipped over and you present him with a moved charger (or he finds a new charger), the map data he had will be completely useless. It was probably just a cost vs effort thing.

2022年11月21日 · Digital Dream Labs made slight hardware changes to their new version of Vector (called Vector 2.0), which causes older firmware to break the robot. Vector needs an operating system / firmware / OTA (Over The Air) to function. 1.6 was the last version from Anki and all newer versions are from ddl.

2022年4月18日 · Keep it on 1.6 - it's a better experience as Vector has far more personality. DDL lobotomised him, with 1.7. Instead, they gave you some crappy games that no-one plays. They also lobotomised his skillset including getting unstuck from the Anki play space. Change your voice recognition to Australian using his app.
