Crocodile skinks belonging to the genus Tribolonotus are quite shy in nature. These little animals lead rather secretive lives and are most active at dusk and dawn (crepuscular). In my experience working with these animals, I have found one of the most effective ways to monitor the animals without disturbing them is by setting up a little feeding station and recording the site for several hours at a time to catch their visits.
