We Tried to Get a Skunk to Spray Him!

One of two skunk species found in Orange County, spotted skunks are known for their ability to perform handstands although it’s not well documented. They are also good climbers (unlike striped skunks) which you can see in this rare video. Weighing it at about 1 pound, they are much smaller than striped skunks and by doing a handstand toward potential threats, they make themselves look larger.
